The annual neighbors-helping-neighbors program by The Detroit News during the holiday season links families in need from across the Metro Detroit area to others in the community who can help them. If you need charitable assistance this season or want to donate, here's what to do:
If you need help or if you want to help: Requests, including a daytime phone number, can be made by email to helpinghands@detnews.com, or call (313) 222-2667 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or write to Helping Hands, Detroit News, 615 W. Lafayette Blvd., Detroit, MI 48226
