If you need a hand, or would like to give a hand, please see the information box at right. The first $5,000 received will be matched by The Detroit News and the Detroit Media Partnership.

The annual neighbors-helping-neighbors program by The Detroit News during the holiday season links families in need from across the Metro Detroit area to others in the community who can help them. If you need charitable assistance this season or want to donate, here's what to do:
