Derrick Gragg, Eastern Michigan's athletic director for the past seven years, is leaving for the same job at Tulsa.
Gragg replaces Ross Parmley, who was suspended in November and fired Dec. 4 after he was identified as an "admitted gambler" in court documents that are part of a federal investigation. Parmley has not been charged, though the NCAA is investigating the case.
"Dr. Gragg has had an outstanding impact at Eastern Michigan since arriving in 2006," said EMU president Susan Martin.
During his time at EMU, the Eagles won 24 Mid-American Conference team championships, 32 MAC Coach of the Year awards, 38 MAC Player of the Year honors and 164 individual MAC champions.
