Detroit — A bicyclist was struck and killed Tuesday night by a driver who fled the scene on the city’s southwest side.
The man was hit about 9 p.m. Tuesday at Michigan and Junction by a dark-colored SUV traveling westbound, said Detroit Police Sgt. Michael Woody.
The man was dragged by the SUV on his bicycle to 32nd Street.
“It was a pretty gruesome scene,” Woody said.
No other details about the man, the SUV or the motorist driving were available Wednesday morning. Police are seeking tips from the public.
