North West’s parents are getting married. Kanye West proposed to his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, Monday night in San Francisco. He did it at AT&T Park in front of Kardashian’s family and friends, Usmagazine.com reports, with an assist from the ballpark’s big screen that flashed the words “pleeease marry meee!!!” An orchestra was on hand playing Lana Del
Rey’s“Young and Beautiful,” TMZ.com reports, and Kanye slipped a 15-carat diamond ring on Kardashian’s finger. Congrats to the happy couple. Kanye’s engagement is going better than his tour; the rapper had to scrap the second date of his “Yeezus” outing at the last minute on Sunday. The tour was set to resume Tuesday in San Jose, Calif., and it hits the Palace of Auburn Hills Nov. 10.
Courtney Love memoir due in December
Rocker Courtney Love is set to release her autobiography, “Courtney Love: My Story,” Dec. 15, Consequence of Sound reports. In the 400-page book, Love will discuss her relationships with Edward Norton, Trent Reznor and Billy Corgan, along with her marriage to Kurt Cobain. Love is also reportedly working on a new album, “Died Blonde,” that could be released in 2014, according to Billboard.com.
Report: Keaton, Burton ponder 'Beetlejuice' sequel
Somebody in Hollywood must have said “Beetlejuice” three times in a row, because the Beet may be coming back. Director Tim Burton and star Michael Keaton are considering a return to “Beetlejuice,” Variety reports. Seth Grahame Smith penned the sequel to the 1988 hit, which grossed $73.7 million and also starred Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Winona Ryder, and reportedly is set to produce along with David Katzenberg. No official announcements on the project have been made.
Gomez likes clean image
Selena Gomez is telling her fans that she doesn’t have to be raunchy to be popular. “Every day I get told I’m not sexy enough or I’m not cool enough or if I did this or if I did that, I would have people who love me,” the 21-year-old singer told fans at a recent concert, People.com reports. “Look at this room! I don’t have to do any of that to have love!” Well, she did sort of star in “Spring Breakers,” but we’ll overlook that for the moment. Do you, Selena!
