Police in Troy are seeking the publicís help in identifying a suspicious man who they say has been accosting women at their homes and at a nearby park.
The subject is said to be involved in four separate incidents that occurred in the late morning or early afternoon hours. The first incident occurred Oct. 12, with the male knocking on the door of a home in Troy and asking the young female resident if her parents were home, police say. The man walked off and returned five minutes later, at which time he unlawfully entered the home. When confronted by the resident, the man asked to use the restroom. He stayed for a few seconds before walking outside and away, said police.
The other incidents occurred on Oct. 25. First a man knocked on the front door of a female resident in Troy, asking for directions to Bloomer Park, which is in Rochester Hills, police said. The resident gave him directions, and he then asked to use her bathroom. The resident refused and the man left in his vehicle.
An hour and a half later, police say a woman exercising in Bloomer Park was approached by a male subject, who asked for directions out of the park. The woman began to guide him out, at which time the man grabbed her and threw her to the ground, police say. The woman fought back and the subject fled.
The same morning, another woman in the park was approached by a suspicious male who asked her for directions. He later chased her down as she was jogging on a trail and asked her where she parked. The woman fled.
Police released a sketch of the suspect, whom they describe as a thin, clean-shaven man in his early 20s, about 5-foot-9 with a long scratch or scar on his right cheek. His vehicle is described as a bright-red, two-door sports car with a large amount of chrome details and tinted windows.
