Gusty winds and dipping temperatures are on tap for Wednesday but conditions will settle down later this evening.
According to the National Weather Service, Metro Detroit can expected to see winds of up to 30 mph for most of the day.
“Winds with light snow showers, but no accumulation,” said meteorologist Rachel Kulik, working out of the White Lake Township station. “The winds will taper off this evening. The high for Wednesday will be about 28 degrees, and the night-time low should be about 17.”
The normal temps for this time of year are 32 and 19.
“Thursday will be a bit warmer with a high of about 31 degrees with snow toward the afternoon, with an accumulation of maybe ½ an inch,” Kulik said. “The low will be about 25 degrees.”
Wednesday: Windy with scattered light snow showers until about noon. Winds gusting to 30 mph.
Wednesday night: Winds 5 to 15 mph with lows of 14 to 18 degrees.
Thursday: Mostly cloudy with a 60 percent chance of light snow into early afternoon. Possible accumulation of about an inch. Highs of 30 to 34.
Thursday night: Lows of 23 to 27.
Friday: Mostly cloudy with a 40 percent chance of light snow showers. Highs of 30 to 34.
Friday night: Lows of 12 to 16 degrees.
