Katy Perry’s Prismatic tour is leading her to Michigan.
The “Roar” singer will play the Palace of Auburn Hills Aug. 11, according to a tour announcement released Wednesday. Ticket prices and on-sale date are to be announced.
The Palace date isn’t Perry’s only upcoming Michigan appointment; she will also play Grand Rapids’ Van Andel Arena on Aug. 10. Country singer (and Grammy nominee for Best New Artist) Kacey Musgraves is set to open the shows.
Perry’s latest album, “Prism,” crossed the 1 million sales mark last week. It has sold 1.043 million copies to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and is No. 7 on this week’s Billboard Top 200 albums chart. Meanwhile, her single “Dark Horse” is No. 1 on this week’s SoundScan Digital Songs chart. The single has sold 1.8 million copies to date, while “Prism’s” first single, “Roar,” has sold 4.7 million downloads.
Perry’s last area concert was a June 2011 date at the Palace.
