Former Michigan running back Mike Hart was the only assistant retained by new Eastern Michigan coach Chris Creighton.
Now Hart is leaving to become the running backs coach at Western Michigan.
Hart, who spent three years at Eastern, two as running backs coach, is replacing Charles Huff, who left for Penn State.
Hart was a four-year starter at Michigan from 2004-07, setting school records in carries (1,015) and rushing yards (5,040).
