Dearborn — Three people were arraigned Monday on breaking and entering charges in the burglaries of several businesses in the area of Warren and Schaefer.
Detroit residents Deardis Maddox, Calvin Williams and Diamond Mitchell were arraigned at 19th District Court in Dearborn. Bond was set at $100,000 for each. A preliminary exam is scheduled for 9 a.m. Feb.7.
Dearborn Police Lt. Douglas Topolski said the three broke into Dearborn Meat Market Friday and AB Kitchenware and the Station Sandwich Shop on Saturday.
Maddox received an additional $50,000 bond for the burglary of European Tanning, Topolski said. Police are unsure of when the burglary took place.
Mitchell was also charged with license documents/plates forgery.
A number of stolen items were recovered, said Topolski, such as cash, merchandise and TVs.
“These arrests have cleared multiple burglary cases, and we are glad to have been able to put an end to this group’s criminal activities,” stated Dearborn Chief of Police Ronald Haddad in a press release. “The patrol officers are commended for their quick response and thorough search resulting in these arrests.”
