Hundreds of yoga lovers stretch out at Detroit Zoo

Royal Oak Yoga enthusiasts took over the Detroit Zoo on Sunday morning, as hundreds of practitioners joined in a mass exercise session.

Yoga At The Zoo! was the latest in a series of large public yoga events around Metro Detroit. Earlier this month, about 400 people attended a free outdoor yoga class on the north lawn of the Detroit Institute of Arts.

And in February, more than 2,000 people took part in a yoga event at Ford Field.

After stretching and posing at the zoo, many of the yoga participants stayed to take a look at the animals.
