Hearing to resume in slayings of 2 Westland teens

Detroit — A hearing is scheduled to resume for a third day to determine whether two men will stand trial for first-degree murder in the drug-related killing of two Westland teens in 2012.

The bodies of 17-year-old Jourdan Bobbish and 18-year-old Jacob Kudla were found in a field on Detroit’s east side. The pair had been missing for five days.

A probable cause hearing began July 9 for Fredrick Young of Detroit and Ferlando Hunter of Jackson. It continued Monday and resumes Wednesday.

Detroit District Judge Michael Wagner will decide whether to send the case to trial in Wayne County Circuit Court.

Young’s cousin Brendan Hall testified last week that the teens came to a home to buy drugs but were robbed and forced into a car trunk.
