2 men face court arraignments in Westland teens' slayings

Detroit — Two men are expected to be arraigned ahead of their trial in the drug-related killing of two suburban teens whose bodies were found in an eastside Detroit field.

Records show 25-year-old Fredrick Young and 23-year-old Felando Hunter are due Wednesday in Wayne County Circuit Court on first-degree murder, torture and robbery charges.

The bodies of 17-year-old Jourdan Bobbish and 18-year-old Jacob Kudla were found July 27, 2012. The Westland teens had been missing for five days after trying to buy drugs.

Less than two weeks later, 62-year-old John Villneff was shot to death during a home invasion on Detroit’s west side.

The Wayne County prosecutor’s office says Hunter was sentenced in March to life in prison for Villneff’s murder. Young also faces sentencing Wednesday for home invasion in that case.
