Metro Detroit's forecast for the week: Dry start to turn wet

High and dry: That’s the weather prediction for the start of the work week.

“Monday will be dry with high temperatures in the upper 70s,” said meteorologist Phil Kurimski, of the National Weather Service at White Lake Township. “Low temperatures for Monday night will be in the lowers 60s.”

But things change on Tuesday when there’s a 70 percent chance of rain.

“But it will be nothing like last week,” Kurimski said. “We may see some rain come in after midnight, but the best chance of precipitation will be on Tuesday during the day. Temperatures will again be in the upper 70s and lower 60s.”

According to the NWS, all the flood watches and warnings posted last week have been canceled.
