A 7-week-old boy who went missing Tuesday evening has been found safe, 24 hours later Wednesday about three miles from where he was last seen, police said.
Ziairr Ryles went missing around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at an apartment complex at 4663 Outer Drive. The baby’s grandmother dropped off a 21-year-old cousin and the baby to visit friends. The cousin, whom police consider a suspect, went into the complex, but did not arrive at the apartment, police said.
Police have the cousin in custody. She and the baby were found around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 13700 block of Dwyer.
Police said there were two phone calls from the cousin saying she would return the child, but she would hang up and turn off her phone when the mother of the child asked about her whereabouts.
