"The Lonely One" -- Demo, never released. Recorded by a 16-year-old Bob Seger, reportedly in the basement of Max Crook's house. Crook played the musitron, an early synthesizer, on Del Shannon's hit "Runaway." Recorded 1961.

"East Side Story" b/w "East Side Sound" -- by Bob Seger, Hideout Records #1013, Credits: Doug Brown Guitar, Organ; Don Honaker Bass, Pep Perrine Bongos, Bob Evans Drums, Bob Seger Vocals. 1966 (re-released by Cameo Records, of Philadelphia-based Cameo-Parkway). Released Aug. 1966. Entered the WKNR charts on Sept. 9, 1966.

"Ballad of the Yellow Beret " b/w "Florida Time" by the Beach Bums. Are You Kidding? Records. A goof recorded by Doug Brown and Seger as an answer song to Sgt. Barry Sadler's jingoistic "Ballad of the Green Beret." The lyrics make fun of antiwar protestors: "They watch their friends get shipped away/the draft dodgers of the Yellow Beret." Two years later, after the death of a high school friend in Vietnam, Seger recorded the blistering anti-Vietnam anthem "2 + 2 =" Released July 1966.

"Persecution Smith" b/w "Chain Smokin'"-- Bob Seger & The Last Heard, Hideout Records #1014. Released Jan. 1967. Entered the WKNR charts on Jan. 30, 1967.
