Sumo golfing isn't cool

Ramirez )

Scandal in the world of championship sumo wrestling!

Two larger-than-life yokozunas (the highest rank a sumo wrestler can achieve) went golfing two days before the Nihon Summer Kyokai Grand Sumo Tournament in Tokyo.

Yokozunas are the superstars of the sumo world, and there currently are only two wrestlers mack daddy enough to be elevated to the rank.

And those were the dudes who went golfing.

In other words, let's put Kobe Bryant and LeBron James on the golf course two days before they play each other in Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

Yeah, that might cause a bit of a scandal.

In total, 10 wrestlers hit the links for some fun, but the yokozunas drew the ire of the Japanese sumo elite.

Sadly, there are no photos of the sumos-do-the-sand-trap outing.

I can only pray they wore more clothing that that itty-bitty diaper-thong thing sported in the sumo ring.

Otherwise, the view of the wrestlers picking up their golf ball after a putt would've been a bit too much.

Yao-ow!

Everybody has a weak spot in their body. Maybe it's that ankle that twists too easy, or a left eye that just can't see distance anymore.

There is no question what's going to limit the career of Rockets All-Star center Yao Ming : the dude has a left foot made of China.

No real pun intended, in case Chinese government censors are reading this. Ni hao!

Ming has broken his left foot for the fourth time in four years, and is out for the rest of the playoffs.

He seemingly twisted his ankle in Game 3 against the Lakers, limping off the floor in pain. X-rays revealed the sucker is broken again.

Maybe it's time to drink some more milk and take some calcium pills.

Great idea goes poof

The Dodgers marketing geniuses were probably beside themselves with glee over this brainstorm: turn Dodger Stadium's left field bleachers into "Mannywood," a take-off on the iconic Hollywood sign, as a tribute to slugging star Manny Ramirez .

The team's entire media campaign -- TV, billboards, radio -- was built around Ramirez.

Say goodbye to Mannywood, as he was suspended 50-games last week by MLB for testing positive for a banned substance.

The Dodgers are "revising" their marketing plans.

Attack of the Twits

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is finding life on Twitter a bit bumpy, (much like his basketball team's ride in the playoffs), as evidenced from his Sunday post on the social network site.

"On Twitter Moron patrol. Blocking venomous idiots. Shame twitter doesn't require real names.

"FB (Facebook) fan pages don't have same problem"
