show the percentage of students who graduated after either 4 years or 5 years of high school, along with dropout rates.
Districts across Michigan will benefit from a relaxed graduation rate standard recently approved for the state by the U.S. Department of Education. Districts and schools can now meet the standard if 80 percent of their students graduate in five years, not four. School districts in Detroit, Wyandotte, Anchor Bay and Dearborn Heights and other cities may avoid costly penalties.
