When Steve Robb left Milan in 2010, he thought there was a good chance he would never again be a head football coach.
Robb's interest, though, remained strong and Tuesday he was hired as the head coach at Dearborn Divine Child.
Robb, 56, was an assistant coach at Divine Child from 1981-85, before becoming the head coach at Milan in 1986. His career record is 168-78.
Robb stayed on the field last season and served as an assistant coach under Tim Baechler at Canton.
"I had so much fun at Canton," Robb said. "The (level of) competition was unbelievable. I'm excited to be at Divine Child. It's a good situation for me. I was there when Divine Child was really good. I think we can be a force again. It's close to home for me and it is like going home."
Robb's wife is a Divine Child alum, and Robb coached baseball there (1981-86).
Divine Child won the Class B football title in 1985, Robb's final season on coach Wes Wishart's staff. Robb is the 10th head football coach in school history.
