Offensive tackle Johnny Culbreath, the Lions' seventh-round draft pick in 2011, was charged with simple possession of marijuana in Orangeburg County, S.C., according to a report.

The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg says Culbreath paid a $412 fine Monday to end the case.

Culbreath, 23, who played at South Carolina State, spent the 2011 season on injured reserve. He had surgery on his elbow during the season. Coach Jim Schwartz said last month the surgical procedure was "not that big of a deal."
