Radio station revives Stone Soup charity effort

When J.J. Johnson and Lynne Woodison were let go from their morning show at WCSX (94.7-FM), one of their pet projects was abandoned. Now WCSX is reviving the Stone Soup Project, inviting listeners' and businesses' help to restore a classic car. The car is then raffled off, with the proceeds going to charity. The station seeks a classic car in need of work, as well as local businesses willing to donate their time to rebuild the car. Roush has donated a Roush 5.ORSC motor (valued at $15,000). The car will be unveiled at the 2012 Autorama Feb. 24, and the money raised will benefit the Children's Miracle Network. To donate, email stonesoup@wcsx.com.
