In photos: Midseason grades for every Red Wings player

The Red Wings could not have wished for a better first half as they head into the All-Star break. They have 33 wins and 67 points — both league-high totals.

They are a remarkable 20-2-1 at Joe Louis Arena, and have not lost there in 17 consecutive games, a franchise record.

Understandably, the Wings have graded out well for their first-half performances. Click through the gallery above for our analysis.

The Wings have designs on a longer stay in the playoffs. Last season they were eliminated by the Sharks in the second round. / David Guralnick / Detroit News
