Re: The Detroit News' March 13 Editorial, "Stop the antics": Detroiters are obstructing progress on the freeway for all of Metro Detroit. How appropriate. They have obstructed progress in the halls of Detroit's government for years.
Stupid is as stupid does.
JoAnn Watson could protest in a progressive rather than obstructionist fashion: Pay your (correct) property taxes and urge all your neighbors to do the same.
Malik Shabazz, your city is drowning. You and other city leaders do not know how to swim. Stop complaining that the life preservers are coming from the wrong place.
To insist that the rest of the state somehow wants to take over the city in its current condition is either blind stupidity or cynical manipulation of the people who will listen to you. Thankfully, their number is small and shrinking. And as they shrink your voices become shriller and their actions make less and less sense.
Get out of the way.
