Whitney restaurant in Detroit adds weekday breakfast menu

Owners of the Whitney restaurant in Detroit announced the addition of a weekday breakfast menu.

Eggs Nantucket, poached eggs atop jumbo lump crab cakes; Eggs Sir Whitney, Yorkshire pudding filled with poached eggs and horseradish hollandaise alongside prime rib and potatoes; and cinnamon roll French toast are among the sophisticated offerings.

The new menu features a "Mansion Pre-Fixe," a three-course breakfast with freshly squeezed juice and champagne or mimosa.

The week day breakfast will run 8 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday-Friday starting March 25. The Whitney is continuing its popular Sunday brunch, and occasional Saturday brunch.
