The trailer for AMC's locally-filmed "Low Winter Sun" premiered online Thursday afternoon.
The 90-second clip sets up the series, which stars Mark Strong ("Zero Dark Thirty") as a Detroit cop who ends up on the wrong side of the law.
The series, adapted from a 2006 BBC movie, begins airing this summer. The pilot episode was filmed in Detroit in September, and nine additional episodes were set to film this spring and summer. The series was approved for a $7.5 million film incentive from the state of Michigan and was expected to hire 245 Michigan workers with a full-time equivalent of 148 jobs, according to the Michigan Film Office.
"Low Winter Sun" is written and executive produced by Chris Mundy ("Criminal Minds," "Cold Case").
