Skip Hop teams up with Jonathan Adler on new diaper bag line
I'm a sucker for Skip Hop products. One look at their kids' animal lunch bags and backpacks and I'm sold. Now, Skip Hop has teamed up with famed designer Jonathan Adler on a new line of diaper bags called Light & Luxe. Available in three signature Jonathan Adler patterns — Abacus (shown here), Syrie and Nixon — Light & Luxe bags are made of laminated fabric that wipes clean, hangs neatly on a stroller and features two front pockets that double as insulated bottle compartments. Bags retail for $70 and can be found on www.amazon.com.
Second Haven location opens in downtown Northville
Haven, the home décor store in downtown Plymouth, has opened a second location in downtown Northville. Located in a turn-of-the- century building at 111 N. Center, owner Martha McMeekin says it has a different mix of products focusing more on furniture, lighting, rugs and home accessories. It also offers design services. "Right now we have a lot of pieces mixing reclaimed wood with metal — coffee tables, end tables, etc., with an industrial feel," she says in an email. The store also sells vintage trunks, factory carts, stools and salvaged tin ceiling tiles. "Our style is mixing it up — keeping it interesting, unique, comfortable and, most importantly, livable." The Northville store is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, except Thursday, when it's open until 7 p.m.; and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. Call (248) 348-8801.
