The American Prize has named the Michigan Philharmonic second place in the professional orchestra category for 2013.
The American Prize is an organization that celebrates, awards and promotes excellence in the arts. It gives accolades to the country’s best performing artists, ensembles and composers.
Now entering its 68th season, the Michigan Philharmonic also was recently awarded a $50,000 grant by the Detroit Knight Arts Challenge.
