Detroit — A 32-year-old Detroit man has been arraigned in the death of a 23-year-old man that authorities say was fatally shot after he told the suspect to slow down his vehicle because children were playing nearby.
Thyrone D. Evans was arraigned Friday in in 36th District Court in the death of Cleveland Dunklin. Evans is charged with first-degree premeditated murder and felony firearm.
Around 7 p.m. Monday in the 13000 block of Braile, police say Dunklin yelled at the driver of a SUV to slow down as the driver drove past at a high rate of speed. Prosecutors say that driver, alleged to be Evans, returned to the area and fatally shot Dunklin almost an hour later.
Evans will have preliminary examination at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday before Judge Alicia Jones-Coleman.
