Detroit — A woman died Monday morning following an apparent hit-and-run on the city’s west side.
The woman, described as being in her 50s, was discovered about 5:30 a.m. Monday lying by a curb near Schaefer Highway and Allonby Street, said Detroit Police Officer Christine Rozier.
Emergency crews took her to a local hospital. It was not immediately clear when she was pronounced dead.
Police believe the woman was struck by a vehicle, but Rozier did not have any details about the vehicle or possible witness accounts.
