Southfield — Police said Tuesday they could use help in identifying a masked suspect who shot a Dollar Tree store clerk during an armed robbery.
The clerk, a 51-year-old man, said the suspect entered the store at 20218 W. Eight Mile about 6:45 p.m. Monday and demanded money. During the robbery, he shot the clerk in the leg and fled the store with an undermined amount of cash.
The suspect was dressed in a black, zipped-up hoodie, khaki pants and was described as having a thin build and about 6 feet tall. Anyone who might have seen anything unusual around the store Monday or has any information about the suspect is asked to call police at (248) 796-5500.
