Detroit — The Detroit Free Press/Talmer Bank Marathon will kickoff Sunday morning, bringing thousands of runners and spectators downtown.
Runners will begin at 7 a.m. at the corner W. Fort Street and Second Avenue, before traversing through historic neighborhoods, around Belle Isle, along the RiverWalk and into Windsor via both the Ambassador Bridge and the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel.
This year, 6,000 runners have registered for the marathon while an estimated 50,000 spectators are expected to line the course.
