Cynthia J. Pasky, Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3) president and CEO recently joined Detroit Renewable Energy LLC board of managers. DRE is a consortium of renewable-energy generation and distribution companies committed to providing the City of Detroit with safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for clean energy and waste disposal.
Pasky founded S3, a Detroit-based global information technology and business services company, in 1990 and has grown the company to 26 branch locations in the U.S. and Europe with revenues of more than Detroit Renewable Energy Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Steven A. White welcomed Pasky to the new role. “We are delighted to have Cindy join us in guiding DRE’s mission to serve Detroit’s long-term energy and environmental infrastructure needs,” he said. “We applaud, and we enthusiastically share, her commitment to a culturally vibrant, economically healthy, and environmentally sustainable Detroit.”
Rose Pest Solutions recently promoted Mark VanderWerp to manager of education and training. He has been employed with the company since 2006 and previously held the position of district supervisor in Grand Rapids. In this new position, VanderWerp will relocate to the company’s Troy-based headquarters.
Butzel Long attorney Louis Theros has been selected as a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, an honor that less than one half of 1 percent of the attorneys who practice in the United States have achieved. The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, headquartered in Annapolis, Md., is a prestigious and highly limited national honorary of employment law practitioners who are leaders in the field.
Theros, a Grosse Pointe Farms resident, is a shareholder, vice president and serves on Butzel Long’s Board of Directors. He concentrates his legal practice in the areas of employment litigation, labor, advising and counseling clients on statutory employment compliance and gaming law.
Law firm Dykema has hired Richard Holdrup as its chief operating officer. Prior to joining Dykema, Holdrup was chief financial officer at Dorsey & Whitney LLP in Minneapolis.
Holdrup will work from the firm’s Detroit office. While at Dorsey & Whitney, he led the firm’s financial operations, as well as its facilities management, client intake and information technology and resources functions.
Katey Forth has recently been promoted to chief operating officer of Capital Fund Services.
Forth, who has been with GLCF for six years as vice president of finance, will assume day-to-day responsibilities for the group. Additionally, Forth is responsible for management of the loan servicing department including reporting to investors and lenders for Capital Fund Services and GLCF.
