Troy — A military veteran who went missing Monday in Detroit has been safely located, Macomb County Sheriff’s officials said Thursday.
Richard Furdock, 59, who walked away from the Veteran’s Administration Hospital on John R Street in Detroit after his doctor’s appointment there was canceled, was located Wednesday night at a Troy church, said Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham.
Furdock’s relatives were notified he had turned up at the church and the man has now been returned to this New Haven home. The man was the subject of search by the Macomb County Sheriffs and Detroit Police Department since he went missing.
No additional details about where the man had gone or his physical condition were immediately available.
