Michigan sophomore tight end A.J. Williams will miss the Michigan State game Saturday.
Williams has been suspended one game by coach Brady Hoke for a violation of team rules.
WKEF TV in Dayton reported that Williams was arrested early Sunday in Oxford, Ohio, and was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, a stop sign violation and underage drinking.
"It's certainly disappointing when one of your kids makes a very poor decision," Hoke said in a press release. "A.J. realizes he has let a lot of people down, including himself. As families do, we will help A.J. as he learns a valuable lesson from this."
Williams, from Cincinnati, has appeared in six games this season, with four starts. He has not caught a pass.
