Devin Booker, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard out of Moss Point, Miss., announced Thursday that he would play college basketball for Kentucky.
Booker chose the Wildcats over Michigan and Michigan State, as well as Missouri and Florida.
Booker, rated the No. 5 shooting guard in the country by Scout.com, grew up in Grand Rapids before moving to Mississippi with his father as a sophomore in high school.
Booker averaged 29.7 points as a junior at Moss Point High. He was named Mississippi's Gatorade Player of the Year.
