A string of armed robberies — a crime spree that included a pair of attempted murders — resulted in the arrest of four suspects last weekend in Pontiac.
Early Friday morning police said they took four people into custody. Roberto Colon, 16; Steven Bard, 17; Gleneisha Warnar, 18, and Auburn Hills resident Bianca London were arraigned Friday in 50th District Court.
Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies apprehended the group, which was sitting in a car on Hughes Street at 12:30 a.m.
The first robbery occurred at 11 p.m. Wednesday night. when Colon and Bard are accused of robbing a couple sitting in their vehicle on Ridgemont Drive. During the incident, Colon is accused of brandishing a semi-automatic handgun before taking the male victim’s watch and wallet, which contained $130. Colon and Bard were driven away from the scene by Warnar, according to police.
Ninety minutes later, police said the suspects approached a 23-year-old Pontiac resident walking on Mechanic Street. The man told police he turned and ran when Colon allegedly showed the handgun and asked for money. That’s when Colon allegedly fired at the man but missed.
Thursday at 9:30 p.m., another man told police he was approached by the suspects as he sat in his car, this time in the 50 block of Bellmore Lane. Both Colon and Bard were allegedly carrying guns when police said they demanded money from the victim. They are accused of taking $100 from the man and left the scene on foot.
An hour later, a 25-year-old Pontiac man sitting outside his home in the 50 block of Edith was the next victim approached by the pair, according to police. After handing over $6, the victim reported Colon put his weapon to the man’s face and pulled the trigger, but the gun did not discharge.
While searching the car the group was in at the time of arrest, sheriff’s deputies said they found the two handguns, as well as amounts of crack cocaine and marijuana.
