Michigan Stateís history-making season already is putting the Spartans on the national radar for next season.
Michigan State has 20/1 odds to win a national championship next season, according to odds released Tuesday by Bovada.lv.
Michigan State finished its 13-1 season ranked No. 3 in the final Associated Press poll after a Big Ten championship and a 24-20 victory over Stanford in the Rose Bowl.
Florida State, which defeated Auburn on Monday night, 34-31, to win the BCS championship, is the favorite at 11/2, followed by Alabama (13/2), Stanford (9/1) and Ohio State (10/1). Oregon (12/1) and Auburn (14/1) are next, followed by Michigan State and Oklahoma, which also is at 20/1.
Michigan State plays at Oregon on Sept. 13, and is home against Ohio State on Nov. 8.
