After one year with the Lions, senior personnel director Brian Xanders might have another opportunity to become an NFL general manager.
Xanders will interview for the Dolphins' general manager position in Miami today, according to multiple reports.
Prior to joining the Lions, Xanders was the general manager in Denver from 2009-12, but he and the Broncos mutually agreed to split after the 2012 season.
Lions general manager Martin Mayhew still made all final roster-related decisions, but Xanders made some changes to the scouting process during his first year in Detroit.
The Lions' draft in 2013 produced three starters -- defensive end Ziggy Ansah, right guard Larry Warford and punter Sam Martin -- and they signed two undrafted free agents who played key roles as well -- right tackle LaAdrian Waddle and tight end Joseph Fauria.
