Tyriq Thompson, a 6-1, 220-pound linebacker from Detroit King, on Thursday was offered a scholarship by Michigan, Allen Trieu of Scout.com reported.
Thompson, rated a four-star prospect by Scout.com, is the son of former Michigan defensive back Clarence Thompson.
Thompson, a class of 2015 recruit, already holds offers from Michigan State, Wisconsin, Northwestern and other top programs.
Michigan has five commitments in the 2015 class but none yet from the state of Michigan.
