Detroit — Police are investigating a triple shooting that wounded a man and two women on the city’s east side early Friday morning.
According to the Detroit Police Department, the incident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. on Algonquin Street.
“The three victims were shot while sitting in a red Ford Explorer by a suspect who was said to be driving a black Dodge Ram pickup truck,” Sgt. Michael Woody said. “All three were privately conveyed to either Detroit Receiving or St. Johns Hospital for treatment.”
The victims included: a 34-year-old man who sustained gunshot wounds to the forehead and forearm. He is in temporary serious condition at St. Johns; a 31-year-old female who was hit in the left thumb and neck and is in temporary serious condition at Detroit Receiving Hospital; a female, 33, who was wounded in the left buttocks. She is listed in temporary serious condition at Detroit Receiving.
