Iíve always considered Ian Kinsler an interesting and talented hitter.
Talented because he can be productive in so many ways.
Interesting because of the way he always hit at home in Arlington, Texas, where he tore the Tigers apart.
Despite being their new second baseman, Kinsler had a prior commitment and wonít be in town for the Tigersí festivities this week. Thatís too bad, because I wanted to get his thoughts about how much heíll miss Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
Thatís the only home park he has known. Itís where he hit .304 with the Rangers, compared to .242 on the road.
As for Kinslerís career stats against the Tigers, they are .361 in Arlington but just .200 at Comerica Park.
Can he make the adjustment and thrive here? The Tigers trust he will.
No doubt, he does as well.
