Derek DeBlois and JT Compher both scored twice as No. 14 Michigan completed a two-game sweep over rival Michigan State, defeating the Spartans, 5-2, Friday at Munn Ice Arena.
DeBloisí second goal at 5:23 in the third was the game winner for U-M (12-5-2, 4-2 Big Ten), which defeated MSU, 2-1, Thursday at Joe Louis Arena.
MSUís Tanner Sorenson opened the scoring on the power play with 2:31 left in the first period before Compher tied it 2:26 later.
DeBloisí first goal put U-M ahead at 5:09 in the second. Then MSUís Michael Ferrantino answered with a power-play goal two minutes later to tie the game 2-2.
Mac Bennett scored for the Wolverines during a three-goal outburst, which included a short-handed effort by Compher who also finished with two assists.
The loss dropped MSU to 8-12-3, 2-4-2-2 in the Big Ten.
