Three Michigan football players have been granted releases.
Michigan backup running back Thomas Rawls, safety Josh Furman and defensive lineman Richard Ash no longer will be in the program, a U-M spokesman said Saturday.
Rawls reportedly will transfer to Central Michigan.
Furman made three starts last season and Ash played in five games.
