With Tigers, is it Verlander-Scherzer ... or Scherzer-Verlander?

It’s well done.

Quite effective.

We’re talking about the Tigers’ season-ticket commercial which begins in the bleakness of winter before saying, “Just remember, buried under all that snow is a diamond.”

And with that, Comerica Park comes alive with action — plus summer greenery, of course.

Five players are shown individually in the commercial. Miguel Cabrera is first. He’s the game’s best hitter, so he should be first.

But which player in a Tigers’ season-ticket commercial should be second?

It went with Justin Verlander — clearly based on what he’s done over the years.

After Verlander, it showed Victor Martinez, Torii Hunter, then Max Scherzer.

But is that still the way you think of the Tigers’ rotation: Verlander-Scherzer? Or has it changed to Scherzer-Verlander?

As the Tigers probably were thinking, they couldn’t go wrong either way.
