Hes bouncing around now.

From team to team.

From one fading hope to another.

Armando Galarraga signed a minor-league contract with the Texas Rangers on Monday, but without an invite to big-league camp.

A tough ladder to climb, in other words.

After spending last year entirely in the minors, this could be the last chance for the 32-year-old best known for the perfect game he once pitched for the Tigers but was deprived of.

Praised for the class he showed after the wrong call was made, Galarraga not only saw that moment of glory disappear, hes not tasted a crumb of success since.

Since that June night at Comerica Park in 2010, Galarraga is 5-16 in the majors. So he urgently needs something to go right.

Because nothing much has gone his way since the 27th out that wasnt.
