Exiting “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno will be the signature act of the annual Gilda’s LaughFest in Grand Rapids, organizers announced Thursday.
Michigan natives Lily Tomlin and Sinbad also will headline, along with Chris Tucker, Mike Birbiglia, Jim Gaffigan, Maria Bamford and “30 Rock’s” Judah Friedlander.
The comedy festival is comprised of 200 free and ticketed comedy events at more than 40 venues in Grand Rapids, Lowell and Holland from March 6-16.
Clean and family-friendly comedy is highlighted, along with blue-er material during a Late Night Comedy Series. LaughFest, which averages 55,000 attendees per year, also offers up-and-coming stand-ups, fundraising initiatives and even a funny underwear 5K.
The event aims to raise funds and awareness for Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids. Tickets range from $7-$60 and are on sale now via Ticketmaster. Visit www.laughfestgr.org for more information.
