Douglass has won four straight, Renaissance eight of nine. Winner likely gets another shot at defending champion Pershing in Friday’s PSL semifinals.
Utica Eisenhower (10-2) at Romeo (11-2), 7 Friday: At 6-2, Eisenhower trails Romeo (6-1) for first place by a half-game in the MAC Red Division. Oak Park (5-3) at Troy Athens (9-3), 7 Friday: This will be the third OAA White Division game this week for both teams. Athens (5-1) trails Troy (6-1) by a half-game for first place. At 4-2 Oak Park can still overtake both. It hosts Troy tonight.
Saginaw Arthur Hill (11-2) at Detroit Consortium (10-2), 4 Saturday: This one could get into the 80s as both teams like to push it. Arthur Hill has the state’s top junior in Eric Davis. Consortium has Josh Jackson, the state’s best player. This is a good tune-up for both teams with the state tournament just over two weeks away.
