NFL safety Ed Reed had $50,000 stolen from out of his car Wednesday, Houston Police told Houstonís KPRC-TV.
According to the KPRC report, Reed withdrew $50,000 from a Houston-area bank. He then drove to another bank and got out, leaving the money on the passenger seat. When Reed returned, he found the passenger window broken and the money gone.
Police told KPRC they believe Reed was followed.
Reed played for the Texans for part of last season before being released and signing with the Jets.
