Dearborn — A man who formerly attended a suburban Detroit church is charged after police say a threat posted on Facebook prompted the cancellation of services.
Dearborn police say the threats Sunday from Kevin Bright about Mt. Moriah Church were specific. He’s charged with making a false report or threat of terrorism and use of a computer to commit a crime. The felonies are punishable by up to 20 years in prison if he’s convicted.
The 19th District Court says Friday that Bright requested a court-appointed lawyer and one wasn’t yet on record. He’s due back in court Feb. 21.
