Got a ticket? Redford Township offers amnesty

Starting today, people with overdue parking and traffic tickets in Redford Township can pay without fear of being put in cuffs, and possibly without extra fees.

The public will have opportunity until April 30 to clear delinquent parking, traffic and misdemeanor violations issued by police agencies in Redford Township through the 17th District Court amnesty program. Fees, such as the bench warrant or late fees, could be waived depending on the status of the offense.

In addition, the court will continue to collect payments on outstanding Detroit tickets under the Out County Collection Program, which began in July.

All payments must be made in cash, certified check, credit or debit card.
