Former Lions safety Louis Delmas might find a new home soon.
Delmas, who was cut by the Lions last week, visited the Steelers Monday, according to profootballtalk.com. The Steelers already have two high-priced safeties in Troy Polamalu and Ryan Clark.
Delmas, a second-round pick out of Western Michigan in 2009, signed a two-year deal last season. He started 16 games, but would have counted $6.5 million against the salary cap.
Since Delmas was released by the Lions, he doesn’t have to wait for the free-agency period to begin next month to sign with another team.
